Matthews McConaughey and Marisa Tomei were spotted on the set of their new film, The Lincoln Lawyer. Matt looks, er, relaxed, as he walks around the set. It looks like he and Marisa are getting along quite well, I hope the chemistry comes across on screen too.
The Lincoln Lawyer is based on a book by the same title, written by author Michael Connelly. The main character, Mickey Haller (McConaughey), is a lawyer who works out the back of his Lincoln Town Car, hence the title. He travels around Los Angeles, defending clients of all types, until one day a hot shot Beverly Hills man hires him. He ends up finding out he sent an innocent man to death row and may now be defending the killer… Other big names attached to the film are William H Macy, Ryan Phillipe (who wants to bet he’s the hot shot from Beverly Hills?), John Leguizamo, and even country singer Trace Adkins.
There are several books featuring Mickey Heller and some cross-over into books featuring a popular Connelly character, Harry Bosch. I’d love to see a Bosch/Haller franchise get started. Connelly is an amazing author and his characters are very realistic. Besides, all his books are set around the LA area… It would be so easy to shoot!
