Stars of The Vampire Diaries take over Australia

Australian fans of the WB hit The Vampire Diaries were in for a special treat….x’s three! Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley and Nina Dobrev made a special appearance at the ‘Vampire Diaries’ Convention held in Melbourne, Australia on Sunday, July 4th, 2010.

The event featured the guests live on stage for a few stories, anecdotes as well as Question and Answers. There were also a variety of events throughout the day, such as auctions, raffles and trivia. [Read more...]

True Blood star Ryan Kwanten has a big heart

He may play the studly airhead Jason Stackhouse on True Blood, but Ryan Kwanten is much different in real life. The native Australian has returned to Oz courtesy of Telstra, to help launch their new T-box home entertainment system.

His first stop took him to Ronald McDonald House in Randwick on Monday, July 5th, 2010 in Sydney, Australia where he donated a set-top box to the families of seriously ill children living at the hospital.

Jim Carrey and Gary Oldman celebrate the Fourth with the fam

Proud new grandfather Jim Carrey spent the Fourth of July with his nearest and dearest. The forty eight year old may have been born in Canada but has been an American staple for so many years that its only appropriate that he celebrate the Fourth with a party at his Malibu, California home!

Along for the festivities were fellow actor Gary Oldman, Jim’s daughter Jane Carrey and her precious four and a half month old son Jackson Riley Santana.

Jack Johnson rocks Denmark

In lieu of spending the fourth of July in the United States, singer songwriter Jack Johnson spent his fourth of July on stage during day 4 of the Roskilde Festival held in Roskilde, Denmark.

The Hawaiian native is on the road promoting the follow up to 2008′s Sleep through the Static entitled, To the Sea which released on June 1st.

In a recent interview, Johnson credited his wife and college sweetheart Kim with keeping him grounded. How sweet!
