Legendary actress Emma Thomson has received the 2,416th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame today. She celebrated with an adorable baby pig and a cup full of beer which was apropos since the ceremony took place in front of the Pig ‘n Whistle pub on Hollywood Boulevard.
Joining the star of “Sense and Sensibility” and “Last Chance Harvey” was joined by her former boyfriend and fellow British thespian Hugh Laurie and her Nanny McPhee co-star Maggie Gyllenhaal.
She spoke to The Hollywood Reporter ahead of the event and shared how alike she is to her ugly big screen character.
No, I’m not. I’m far too unreliably emotional and I suppose I’m volatile and she certainly isn’t. I’m not really particularly consistent, which she is, and while I would aim to be judicious and compassionate most of the time, I don’t manage it always because I’m not a Zen master. She is.
“Nanny McPhee Returns” opens in theaters on August 20th.
Congrats to Emma!
