Robbie Williams says ‘I do’!

There’s a number of celebrity weddings happening of late, clearly love is in the air.

Robbie Williams is the latest we can report has tied the knot! The singer married his actress sweetheart Ayda Field during a low-key ceremony conducted in the grounds of his mansion in Los Angeles before family and friends. The love-birds had to make a last minute location change from their original destination of Santa Catalina island off the California coast after news of their impending nuptials was leaked to the media.

Field wore a stunning white gown for the event, and Williams looked dashing in his suit as they exchanged vows; Robbie making a special one of his own for his new bride: he’s quitting smoking so that they can have a baby together.

“At last, Rob is happy,” Pete Conway, the musician’s father told the UK’s News of the World: “That’s what you want for your kids and this is the happiest I’ve seen him. Ayda is so beautiful and so delightful and so lovely and just so right for him. They are brilliant together.”

Due to the sudden nature of the ceremony, several of Williams’ close friends including his Take That band-mates were unable to attend, but sent messages to be read out at the reception. “It was classic Robbie,” Jason Orange laughed. “He sprung it on everyone at the last minute. The lads would have loved to be there but it just wasn’t possible because of their commitments.”

The pair have signed a pre-nuptial agreement to protect the star’s £85million fortune.
