While the 2010 Teen Choice Awards was a big night for the nominees, for fashionistas like me, it was even bigger! My favorite part of any award show is always watching the amazing fashion pour onto the red carpet.
After the show, I love putting together a list of my favorite outfits to see how they compare to yours. So without further ado, here they are!
Best Dressed
Troian Avery Bellisario from Pretty Little Liars
My top choice for Best Dressed at the 2010 Teen Choice Awards goes to Troian Avery Bellisario, by a long mile. The Pretty Little Liars star, who plays ‘Spencer’ on the Hit TV Show, out shone her peers in a cutout sequin black and silver mini dress, regardless of her rookie status on the red carpet.
She isn’t very well known yet, but that doesn’t take away from the amazing choice she made to go with this dress on the red carpet & hopefully she will get some recognition for it. This metallic number was age appropriate, sexy, and fun for the Teen Choice awards. The low V-neckline and the alignment pattern of the sequin detailing was absolute perfection. The way she finished off the look with black suede pumps and shadowy eyes to create a sexy edge was spot on.
Look out for her choices on future red carpets. I predict she will have a strong presence in terms of her fashion choices.
Selena Gomez from “Wizards of Waverly Place”
Selena Gomez looked like a Grecian Goddess in her BCBG Max Azria Runway Draped Slit Sleeve Dress (You can buy it here) The slit sleeves and ruched skirt added a little sexiness to an otherwise innocent white dress and the beautiful Wizards of Waverly Place actress added her twist with the intricate Sergio Rossi heels that proved high fashion is on the horizon for this starlet.
Nina Dobrev from “The Vampire Diaries”
Nina wins “Editor’s Choice” for Best Dressed
Nina Dobrev’s dress was stunning and the color and pattern flattered her skin tone well. She wore a gorgeous strapless corseted Alex Perry dress that was embellished with a wave-like pattern of sequins. Just like Jayma Mays, she paired the dress with ‘Kendall’ Brian Atwood Heels. I think that when you look at a dress like this one, it’s so pretty that it makes your jaw drop for an instant. She did it all right because if an outfit doesn’t evoke that reaction, then it doesn’t belong on the red carpet.
Kristen Bell
Kristen Bell wore a Stella McCartney Victorian style mesh dress in an orange-red hue, exuding pure class and elegance with the embroidery detail and mesh overlay. The dress was a bit of a mature choice for the young actress but it was so beautiful that she was able to pull it off well. I commend her choice!
