I haven’t been able to get Love the way you lie out of my head all weekend.
In some kind of attempted cleansing I thought I’d write about Ri Ri and see how it goes. Looking very hot with her new flaming locks and neon green dress, the Barbados-born singer was spotted leaving Da Silvano resteraunt with her boyfriend (and professional baseball player) Matt Kemp on August 9th.
Speaking of the single, the topical subject matter of the tune has been attracting quite a bit of buzz — specifically about what it says of Rihanna’s stance on domestic violence being involved in the collaboration with rapper Eminem whose own history with wife Kim was anything but placid — his song Kim graphically described his fantasizes about murdering his ex-wife. Marjorie Gilberg, executive director of Break the Cycle, a group that fights violence among teens spoke to the Miami Herald about the single that is currently sitting in the Billboard Hot 100 Charts.
“The danger,” she said, “is that pop culture defines our social norms. We don’t want the message of this song to be that this kind of relationship is acceptable. So this song has to be viewed in the context of real information from adults, like parents and teachers.” Rihanna however, has previously defended her decision to take part in the project, having stated that it was something both artists had experienced, ‘on different sides’ and that she felt strongly about.
Certainly, it’s left a good impression on Mathers, who reportedly would like to pursue the smoking hot singer romantically. “Rihanna would make a suitable partner for Marshall,” the rapper’s grandmother Betty Kresin told Heat Magazine. “But he needs to enjoy life and not get carried away with any relationships at the moment.”
According to reports the two are in ‘constant contact’ via phone and text messages but for Rihanna, at least, their contact is entirely platonic — she’s happily dating her baseball player, Matt (honestly I’d be happy too).
