Well, Iron Man gets a leg up at least. Robert Downey Jr. was spotted leaving Sherlock Holmes director Guy Ritchie‘s home in London this morning. Exiting with the star was an unknown man who happens to have a large Iron Man tattoo on his left calf. And some cool striped socks. Production on the as yet untitled Sherlock Holmes Sequel is said to start filming this fall. So, odds are, the visit was in relation to that.
You guys know I love me some RDJ, but I can’t help but think he looks very Gene Wilder today. I think it’s the glasses and longer locks. He looks good though, as always. Best of all, do you see that shirt?? “Team Downey” I need it. I’ll ask our new fashion guru Karen if she can get on that for me! It’s stylish right??
In related news, we reported a few weeks ago that Scarlett Johannson was to be joining Robert in the upcoming film Gravity. Well it turns out, that might not be true. The role is being sought after by both Scarlett AND her husband’s (Ryan Reynolds) Green Lantern co-star Blake Lively. May the best woman win! (Go Scarlett!)

Hi Kristen ! I love your page you always have the first photos of Robert. I sent you some info the other day too – so you might eventually end up shooting me.( I am also a huge Robert Downey Jr fan, so here I will tell you.)
The man with Robert is Jimmy Rich. He has been Robert’s personal assistant since 2003 The Singing Detective and they are like brothers. Robert rarely goes anywhere without him. He is Robert’s assistant on every movie since 2003, and he travels with Robert also. Again, love the column. Let us know if you find that shirt. Thanks!
Shoot you? Nah, maybe I will just start shooting you e-mails before I do RDJ posts though. I knew someone would know who the gentleman with him was, and I figured it would be you!
If I find the shirt, you’ll be the first to know. (I liked The Singing Detective, that was his first “come back” after sobering up. Wasn’t it?)
Yes it was. It was released at the end of 2003. Robert and Susan went to London after Gothika finished filming (2003) and while promoting The Singing Detective in England, he announced his engagement on The Frank Skinner Show. I enjoyed it also, great movie. You need a laugh watch The Frank Skinner Show with Robert from 2003. It is hilarious. (It is on You Tube.) Take care.
