After hosting the Teen Choice Awards a couple of weeks ago, singer Katy Perry has been doing some non stop traveling. She spent some quality time shopping in Australia’s largest city, Sydney before popping over to The Plaza Ballroom in Melbourne for her only concert in Oz.
Now the twenty five year California native made her descent into Narita International Airport on Sunday, August 15th, 2010 in Narita, Japan.
Though she has no schedule concerts lined up there, you can bet she will be promoting her upcoming album “Teenage Dream” which will hit stores in the U.S. on August 24th and on August 30th for the rest of the world.
Her first single off the album, California Gurls, a collaboration with rapper Snoop Dogg, has been on the Billboard Top 100 chart for thirteen weeks.
While her music video for the song is fun with all the ice cream, candy and baked goods, I think she missed a major opportunity to feature the titular state somewhere in the four minutes. But alas, no sun, no famous locations and no gin and juice in sight!?
Luckily at the end they threw in some ocean and sand or it would have been a complete miss. Don’t get me wrong, the video is super fun and the outfits are adorable but maybe this theme could have been used for another song?
If you haven’t seen the vid, check it out and let me know how right I am!
