Here’s one for you True Blood faithful out there!
Fans of the HBO series are pitting their most beloved Bon Temps Vamps Bill (Stephen Moyer) and Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) against one another in the ultimate Battle of the Fang and it’s all in the name of two very deserving charities personally chosen by the two actors; Gulfaid and SOS Children’s Villages.
The contest, which is being run by True Blood News (Team Bill Headquarters) and Alex Skarsgard Net (Team Eric Headquarters) involves fans rallying behind their respective vampire and donating to the charity specially chosen by either Skarsgard or Moyer.
At last count, fans had raised a staggering $29,000 for their chosen team’s causes with the contest due to run on until the conclusion of the current True Blood season on HBO on September 12th.
But that’s not all!
Being the gracious good sports they are, both actors have agreed to don a T Shirt designed by the winning actor and team and be photographed in it, with the shirt then to be given to a lucky fan picked at random from both Teams. As added incentive to his own side, Stephen Moyer has donated some signed goodies including his – er, how to phrase this delicately – modesty sock (the Sock of Destiny, it’s apparently known as!) from his nude scenes on the show plus his personal copy of the season 3 finale script!
That’s pretty cool!

The reigning Vampire will be announced on the Monday following the Season 3 Finale!
