The most philanthropic couple in Hollywood is continuing to give of themselves for others in a big way. The deliciously hot Brad Pitt and gorgeous wife Angelina Jolie arrived in New Orleans on the heels of the 5th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, the most devastating natural disaster ever experienced on US soil.
While in New Orleans, Brad spent some time being interviewed by NBC’s Brian Williams for a special tribute that will air to honor and mourn those affected by Hurricane Katrina on the 5th Anniversary. Part of his interview will feature a rooftop view of one of the homes built by Brad’s organization: “Make It Right Foundation“.
The organization has already built 50 out of a planned 150 eco-homes for residents in the Lower 9th Ward, the area most well known for the slowest government response to them during the disaster.
This couple never ceases to amaze me with their big hearts and tireless energy for others. Although they both spent time in New Orleans, Angelina had to leave a little earlier than Brad, and was seen leaving on a jet (probably to get back to their beautiful kids).
Brad smiled and waved at fans that came out to visit the huge star. He expressed his compassion for the low income community and gives a little insight into what motivates him to keep returning here:
“I see them having barbecues out in the [backyards] and I’m just thrilled.”
This makes the pictures of Brad, looking ravishing in a blue jean shirt, spending time with the locals in the area all the more heartfelt.
