We’re less than 24 hours away from The 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards, and the stars are making their rounds at various hot spots for a little pre-Emmy fun. Chris Meloni of Law and Order SVU fame attended P.F. Chang’s Home Menu Frozen Moments event today and racked up on some Emmy swag.
Chris Meloni plays my favorite hunky detective Elliot Stabler. (Side note: for those of you wondering, Patrick Jane of The Mentalist is not a detective…he’s a consultant). Meloni spoke with Fancast today about some changes we can expect in the upcoming season of SVU.
He commented on the role of new Assistant District Attorney, which will be played by the stunningly beautiful Paula Patton (Precious) by stating:
“All the whispering says that she’s hot,” he shares. “And she’s a fantastic actress.”
Also, regarding the addition of Henry Ian Cusick (Lost), who appears to be on tap to portray a love interest for Detective Olivia Benson (played by the lovely Mariska Hargitay), Meloni offers this:
“It’s OK. She needs it,”
Sounds like another great season awaits us! The 12th season premiere of SVU airs Wednesday, September 22, at 9pm EST on NBC.
