Kate Moss and British retailer Topshop are going through a break up. The model made the announcement that she will no longer be a designer for the brand after a 3-year partnership.
Kate’s collection for Topshop is very well known and acclaimed. The label’s boss, Philip Green, went on the record to counter any rumors that there was a rift between Kate and the label. According to Green:
“Kate has done 14 collections with us. It has been fantastic for us and fantastic for her, but they take more and more time and she cannot do this full-time any more because she has other commitments.”
Early in her career, Kate was renowned for being one of world’s most first super models to flaunt a “waifish” figure. Much controversy surrounded this element of her career, but she went on to be one of the most successful supermodels ever, featured on over 300 magazine covers.
Kate’s final collection for Topshop is scheduled to be released in October.
