Wanna spice up a tv show? Hire British comic Eddie Izzard! The folks over at Showtime have snagged the cross dressing funny man for season three of The United States of Tara, according to TVGuide.com
In the Showtime series about a woman grappling with Dissociative Identity Disorder, Izzard will play a brilliant psychology professor skeptical about the disease. However, his growing fascination with Tara (Toni Collette) will lead him to explore the condition further.
This will mark Mr. Izzards return to American television since the cancellation of his FX show, The Riches which ended in March 2008.
Emmy Award winner Toni Collette and the cast and crew will return to work next month and will premiere in 2011.
