Yesterday, we shared with you a teaser trailer, along with some wonderful photos from Episodes 1 and 2 of the upcoming season of The Mentalist. Now, we have a longer promo trailer for the first episode of Season 3, which was just released!
The highly anticipated Season 3 Premiere will hopefully help us connect some widely scattered dots after the thrilling finale of Season 2. At the very least, it’ll hopefully give a little credence to several theories that are circulating and give us more exciting times around the water cooler!
Still lingering buzz includes: Will we ever be able to determine what to make of Kristina Fry’s fate? Will the gorgeous, yet cunning consultant, Patrick Jane (Simon Baker, The Devil Wears Prada, The Guardian) continue to be evasive about his encounter with Red John? Are Risgby and Van Pelt (Owain Yeoman and Amanda Righetti) a done deal? And most importantly of all, will Jane and Agent Lisbon (Jane’s boss, seen with him in above picture, played by Robin Tunney – The Craft) ever just be honest about the fact that they love one another? (It doesn’t take Mentalist powers to see that) 
Season 3 premiere episode synopsis: When the CBI investigates the kidnapping of a prominent lawyer and state house lobbyist, the CBI Director wants Jane on the case, but he is uncertain of his future with the unit after his encounter with Red John, on the third season premiere of THE MENTALIST.
