I won’t lie and say I wasn’t surprised at how much I love Showtime’s breakout hit, “The Big C.” I was half expecting the show to be this slightly depressive journey of a woman recently diagnosed with cancer but was pleasantly surprised at the outcome.
The half hour dramedy starring multiple award winner Laura Linney as high school teacher Cathy Jamison who has just found out she has the big “c” and how she chooses to deal with the diagnosis. The series is charming, uplifting, funny and empowering. Plus with co-stars like Oliver Platt as her immature ex-husband and “Precious” star Gabourey Sidibe as her witty student you can’t lose.
Linney visited with Regis and Kelly this morning where she discussed how she came to take on the role, her upcoming theater work, living in Telluride, and more!
