According to Mike Ausiello, Bones has just wrapped up filming an episode that will feature a well known favorite from Season 4 of SYTYCD (So You Think You Can Dance). Extremely talented runner-up hip-hop dancer Stephen “tWitch” Boss is set to appear on a Season 6 episode of Bones as a suspect in the murder of a popular street entertainer.
It’s one thing when a network makes the fun decision to have actors on shows from similar genres make guest appearances to liven things up every so often. In fact, I would expect a cross-network venture (still have fingers crossed for a Psych/The Mentalist crossover) before I would anticipate a prime time crime procedural joining forces with a reality television show! That being said, I think that it’s a great idea, and will definitely be watching, mostly to take in the irony of it all.
Bones is a popular, very well written prime time drama which follows a prosaic forensic anthropologist (Emily Deschanel) and a cocky FBI agent (David Boreanaz), who build a team to investigate death causes. The Bones/SYTYCD crossover episode is slated to air in November, while the sixth season premiere of Bones will air Thursday, September 23, at 8pm on Fox. Check out a Bones Season 6 promo below.
