The photos from the upcoming season of The Mentalist are pouring in! From set photos to production stills, we’re getting some really good stuff pretty early this year. The latest photos are from segments of today’s filming of episode 5. The pictures were posted on the Twitter accounts of popular Film Technical Advisor, Karl Sonneberg, and actor Jim Beaver (Supernatural).
The episode will be entitled “The Red Ponies”. If I were to make a slightly educated guess about the premise, it’s most likely about the CBI solving a murder case (hence, the red/blood) involving a group of people that enjoy partaking in equestrian activities (hence, the ponies). Hey, maybe they should hire me to come up with episode titles for them! (I won’t hold my breath waiting for my phone to ring). 
The Season 3 Premiere of The Mentalist airs on Thursday, September 23 at 10pm on CBS.
