Ring the bells across the world, Colin Firth is celebrating his fiftieth birthday today!! Talk about ageing gracefully, this man does not look a day over thirty five.
Mr. Firth had his beautiful wife Livia Giuggioli by his side when he celebrated this momentous event held at the Grey Goose Soho House Club during the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival on Thursday, September 9th, 2010. Also there to help him celebrate were Geoffrey Rush, producer Harvey Weinstein, Producers Iain Canning, director Tom Hooper, director Atom Egoyan and actress Arsinee Khanjian.
Colin Firth rushed into our hearts with his portrayal of Mr. Darcy, the protagonist in the BBC version of Pride and Prejudice in 1995. And he has since kept our hearts aflutter with a string of hit movies including “The English Patient,” “Shakespeare in Love,” two “Bridget Jones” films where he revisits the Darcy character in a far more modern version, one of my favorites “Love Actually,” “Mamma Mia,” and seriously the list goes on and on.
He married Italian film producer/director Livia Giuggioli and has three children. William “Will” Joseph Firth from his relationship with Meg Tilly and two sons, Luca and Matteo with his wife Livia. The family resides part time in England and Italy.
