With a new movie ready to hit the big screen, Carey Mulligan made a special appearance at the studios of “Live with Regis & Kelly” on Thursday, September 16th, 2010 in New York City, New York. The petite actress known for her work in the film, “An Education” and “Public Enemies” stopped to greet fans and sign autographs before walking in.
She seems to be letting her adorable pixie haircut grow out and it looks just slightly lighter.
Mulligan is currently promoting her new dramatic film entitled, “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.” The film co-stars Michael Douglas, Charlie Sheen, Josh Brolin, Susan Sarandon, Eli Wallach, and her current boyfriend Shia Labeouf. (They met on set, how cute!)
Money Never Sleeps is the follow up to the 1987 film “Wall Street” about a young and impatient stockbroker is willing to do anything to get to the top, including trading on illegal inside information taken through a ruthless and greedy corporate raider named Gordon Gekko (Douglas) whom takes the youth under his wing.
Part Two takes place 23 years after the original, and mainly centers around the reformed Gekko who has just been released from jail. He attempts to help Wall Street before its soon-to-be stock market crash as well as trying to repair his relationship with his daughter Winnie (Mulligan) with the help of Jacob (LaBeouf), Winnie’s fiance.
In return, Gekko helps Jacob get revenge on the man he blames for his mentor’s death.
“Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps” opens in theaters on September 24th.
