Actors and filmmakers Jude Law and Jeremy Gilley speak to children from the Petchey Academy at the launch of new aspect of London 2012 Cultural Olympiad short film competition at the Petchey Academy on Tuesday, September 21st, 2010 in London, England.
Gilley, who is the founder of the Peace One Day campaign, and the star of Sherlock Holmes are encouraging young people to make a short film inspired by the theme of “Truce”.
Law said: “Today, on Peace Day, we’re delighted to be working with the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad to issue a call to action for young people to change the world through creativity and the power of film.”
The winning entries will be shown at a giant Peace One Day concert held at the O2 arena on September 21 next year.
