Swedish hottie Alexander Skarsgard is showing his heart for little ones in need. The star, who plays Eric Northam on HBO’s True Blood, has helped raise money for SOS Children’s Villages, which is a global organization dedicated to the long-term care and prevention of orphaned and abandoned children.
The donations Skarsgard helped generate were a part of a friendly competition between both Skarsgard and fellow True Blood cast member Stephen Moyer to determine which of them could raise the most money for their respective charities. Today, SOS Children’s Villages announced that Alexander Skarsgard has helped raise over $35,000 for their programs!
“Through encouraging his fans to donate to SOS, we have raised thousands of dollars to help many in need, and we are grateful to Alexander for his contributions.”
SOS impacts the lives of over 1 million people each year. The world is a better place because of individuals like Skarsgard who have huge hearts to match their huge celebrity following! Please visit the SOS Children’s Villages website to make a difference in the life of an abandoned child.
