I was on the phone with my younger sister this weekend and she confessed that while she has never seen The Rocky Horror Picture Show (she’s 30…wtf!) she is very excited about the upcoming episode “The Rocky Horror Glee Show”.
I am a little excited too! It has been a few years since I watched the film, but the music is eternal. I told her she should rent the flick this week so she would have some frame of reference for the episode. To the uninitiated (or virginal, if I recall) the show may not make any sense.
The plot of the film is a bit nonsensical if you break it down. Newlyweds break down in front of a castle inhabited by a tranvestite and his band of wayward freaks who are trying to make a hunky man for him to sleep with. But oh wait, the castle is actually a spaceship and the creepy door man is actually the boss.
Right. Totally makes sense. I doubt that the kids of McKinley will act all of that out, but I’ll admit I’m curious about their interpretation of “Sweet Transvestite”. This is a family show after all, smooching cheerleaders notwithstanding.
Tune in to Fox next Tuesday to witness the fabulousness.
