A new brand of crazy is about to wander onto Wisteria Lane. Cynthia Watros, who played “tailie” and Hurley’s girlfriend Libby on Lost will appear in episode nine of Desperate Housewives this season as the unbalanced date of hunky Keith’s father (John Schneider).
Watros has a bit of history playing slightly unhinged but loveable characters. Back in 1998 she won an Emmy for her role as looney stalker Annie Dutton on Guiding Light and she was delightful as off-balance Libby on Lost who in the end turned out to be not so crazy after all.
Let’s hope that she can stay away from Anna Lucia this time who not only got her drunk and arrested but got her shot! Something tells me this double date with Bree, Keith and Bo Duke will be somewhat less dramatic, although you never know with this show. I think it would be super if Keith arrived to pick Bree up in the General Lee, on loan from his father to impress his special lady friend.
Oh what a wonderful place television would be if I were in charge.
