Look who’s sharing a bench with Blair (Leighton Meester) on the set of Gossip Girl today? None other than Prince Stupor (what, he’s a drug dealer) Damien Daalgard (Kevin Zegers). Well, well, well B, what may you be up to? We kinda think this is all about helping Serena (Blake Lively) and uncovering Juliet’s (Katie Cassidy) infamous plots. Who better than he who lured Jenny (Taylor Momsen) on the dark(est) side can help with that?
Question is: will Damien help himself to a side of Little J with the main dish? Too early to tell, but Little J seems MIA again, so maybe just this once Damien will fly solo. Whatever his decision, we’re thrilled to have him back. He sure added spice (and we mean metaphorically) to the story, even while being villainous. May the time have come for him to be redeemed and help Serena?
Speaking of, we spot a peck on the cheek that looks rather fraternal between Serena and Dan (Penn Badgley) in those photos. Memo to the writers: the triangle idea sucks in the first place, but if you want to keep it even remotely believable, this type of (non) chemistry won’t do it. Especially when Nate (Chace Crawford) and Serena combust every time they’re just nearby. The funny thing is that the actors (Blake/Penn) are a very sweet couple in real life. Goes to prove that real-life couples rarely make good couples on screen (hence why producers are never too happy when stars hook up during a movie or TV show, especially if they may be playing a couple). Maybe this is what Penn Badgley was referring to when he was talking about “routine” on the show? Ooops.
We had heard rumors of Serena ending up at Ostroff, a recovery center for addicts, and this photo environment certainly doesn’t look like the Upper East Side. Oh S., what did you get yourself into? Or.. was it Juliet’s evil doing? And now Damien is in the picture? Hm, the plot thickens, like every good plot involving our favorite Upper East Siders. Never a dull moment, and always boiling up a new scandal. We kinda dig this one, especially if it’ll make us see Juliet go down in flames. No woman gets away with messing with a gorgeous man (Chace, when will you stop being so ridiculously hot? Never? Ok then), without paying consequences. At least not in my book. Not to mention whatever Juliet’s horrible plan to ruin Serena may be. Seems like pay-up time may be coming! We know we love it, and we’re looking forward to it!
Don’t miss a new episode of Gossip Girl on Monday, Oct. 25, at 9 p.m. on the CW Television Network!
