DEXTER PREVIEW: “Take It”

It feels like its been a minute since I’ve had a chance to talk about my favorite serial killer “Dexter.” I’ve been a little torn with the way that I feel about the character Lumen (Julia Stiles) as she has stuck around for longer than I had expected.

Up until Sunday’s episode I didn’t feel she quite fit in but now I’m starting to think that her presence was needed in Dexter’s (Michael C Hall) life in order to transition after his wife Rita was brutally killed at the end of season four. I also thought she was going the way of Miguel Prado so I wasn’t investing too many emotions on her.

But now that she has been introduced to Dexter’s son Harrison, it looks like Ms. Lumen might be sticking around…..at least until revenge is brought upon the men who raped her and almost murdered her.

Much to Dexter’s chagrin, it seems like he now has a partner.

The Miami Police Department got a major break in the Santa Muerte case but things did not go as planned. So in episode eight entitled, “Take It” we will see how Maria (Lauren Velez) plans to clean up the mess she made. Deborah (Jennifer Carpenter) is also dealing with her feelings after shooting and killing suspect Carlos Fuentes.

Could she be a bit like her brother and not feel a bit of remorse over it?
