If news coming out of the United Kingdom is correct, Scarlett Johansson could be headed to the big screen to battle brain eating zombies! The report claims Natalie Portman, who was originally cast to play the role of Elizabeth Bennett in Pride, Prejudice, and Zombies has recently dropped out of the movie.
The Jane Austen’s classic tale is being adapted for the big screen and is based on the 2009 novel by Seth Grahame-Smith. It adds a special twist to the story of tangled relationships between lovers from different social classes in 19th century England. They are battling an army of undead zombies!
As a HUGE fan of Austen’s work I am disappointed that I am not able to enjoy the books nor the upcoming film. I am DEATHLY afraid of zombies and would spend the entire time watching the film with my eyes closed!
A source told Britain’s Sunday Express, “Natalie Portman was going to be playing the part but has left the project and now Scarlett is in talks.”
So for those of you that have read the books that has our heroine as a seasoned zombie hunter and a martial arts expert, would you like to see Scarlett in this role?
