Huey Lewis helps break Guinness World Record!

While it was an extremely cold South Florida Wednesday night, it was an amazing experience to be a part of the “World’s Largest Guitar Smash!” The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino set a new Guinness World Record for the “World’s Largest Guitar Smash” – effectively smashing 1,914 guitars in celebration of the grand opening of Winner’s Way Parking Garage.

Members of the Hard Rock staff passed out trays full of yummy hot chocolate to keep us Native South Floridians warm. I have no idea how the people up North handle this year round!?

Celebrities on hand for the event were football star Ki-Jana” Carter, Novela actor Miguel Varoni (yes Pedro el Escamoso!) and his stunning wife Catherine Siachoque, singer Mike Posner, and of course Huey Lewis and the News who performed right before we smashed the guitars!

If you guys head over to the Casino on the weekends, you KNOW how badly a new garage was needed. When the Lucky Street Garage was built it relieved a lot of the traffic but the Winner’s Way Parking Garage adds 2,400 parking spaces to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino bringing the grand total of spaces available to more than 12,000!
