Joel and Benji Madden rock out in Miami!

Fans of the band Good Charlotte were treated to a very special acoustic performance by brothers Benji and Joel Madden at Macy’s Avenutra Mall on Saturday, January 15th, 2010. The duo were part of a special collaboration between Macy’s and the clothing line American Rag which took the guys around several cities to promote their fifth studio album, Cardiology.

We had the special opportunity to chat with Benji and Joel before their performance. I hate to ruin their punk rock reputation but they were both just the sweetest and I have even emerged from this experience with a slight crush on Benji.

As far as their performance is concerned, you can forget about these guys ever lip syncing their tunes. Not only did they let their crowd of screaming fans choose what songs they would performance, but all they had on stage were two microphones and Benji’s acoustic guitar.
