He may have been snubbed by the Academy Awards but famed director Christopher Nolan received a tremendous accolade last night. Actor Leonardo DiCaprio helped honor the “Inception” mastermind at the Modern Master Award Tribute to Christopher Nolan held at the Arlington Theater on Sunday, January 30th, 2011 in Santa Barbara, California.
The evening celebrated Nolan’s decade worth of work including “The Dark Knight,” “The Prestige,” and “Memento.”
“He no longer challenges our ideas about film,” actor Leonardo DiCaprio said of Christopher Nolan tonight, before presenting him with the Modern Master Award. “He has helped define them.”
So even though he may not be up for Best Director at the Oscar’s, “Inception” still has eight nominations and could mean Academy Award gold for Nolan. Good Luck!
