TNT’s reboot of Dallas has added two more names to the cast. Desperate Housewives alum Jesse Metcalfe landed the role of Pam and Bobby Ewing’s adopted son Christopher who will be feuding with his cousin John Ross (son of J.R.) over the future of Ewing Oil and probably a woman or two. That’s Bobby holding little Christopher in the pic on the right. Adorable isn’t he?
Julie Gonzalo (Veronica Mars) has signed on to play Christopher’s fiancee Rebecca. They join Larry Hagman, Patrick Duffy and Linda Gray as well as Jordana Brewster in the new series which is due to hit screens sometime this year. No word yet on if any more characters will be returning. There certainly is no shortage of people to choose from though, so if the show takes off hopefully we will get to revisit some familiar old faces.
Jesse is a cutie and I enjoyed him quite a bit as horny gardener John Rowland on Desperate Housewives. He certainly knows how not to wear shirt well. Considering that the Ewings spent at least ten minutes of every episode lounging by the pool I expect he’ll get to continue that trend on Dallas.
Fun fact: The actor who played young Christopher was a guy named Joshua Harris who went on to play the mischievous Nicky on my all time favorite show Twin Peaks in1991 before retiring at 15 to pursue baseball. He eventually played for the Chicago Cubs before deciding to get back into show business. Now he is a producer/director.
Are you a Dallas fan? If so, who would you like to see return to Southfork Ranch?
