Even though his wife Katy Perry is away on tour, Russell Brand managed to grab an extremely glamorous date for the evenings events. Brand was joined by his mother Barbara at the 83rd Annual Academy Awards held at the Kodak Theatre on Sunday, February 27th, 2011 in Hollywood, California.
The British funnyman will serve as a presenter during tonights Oscar telecast while his proud mommy looks on from the audience. He will be joined by his Arthur co-star (and fellow Brit) Helen Mirren to announce the winner for Best Foreign Language Film Oscar.
