Serving as confirmation that she is the new face of Lancome, Emma Watson was photographed shooting a new commercial in Paris, France on Monday, March 14th, 2011. They didn’t just entrust the Harry Potter star with any photographer, they brought in legendary fashion photographer Mario Testino! (who just so happens to be a fellow Peruvian!)
A statement released by the high end beauty brand earlier today praised the young fashionista and spoke about why she was their choice.
“Thanks to her charm, romanticism and her incredible modernity, Emma Watson has become the icon of her generation,” said a statement from Lancome International president Youcef Nabi.
“We are delighted by this new collaboration with Emma, who brings a fresh spirit to Lancome.”
Watson joins the ranks of other celebrity beauties like Kate Winslet, Julia Roberts, Anne Hathaway and Penelope Cruz who have also represented Lancome.
