Fringe teaches us many things, not the least of which is never accept a cup of tea from William Bell. He’s a sneaky little bastard.

First off, my apologies for missing last week’s episode. Last Friday when “Os” aired was the “official” kick off of my birthday weekend, or as I like to call it The Festival of Neal. I turned forty this year so I had lots of old people stuff to do like chasing kids off my lawn and stocking up on Metamucil. That left poor Peter and Olivia to languish on my DVR until Monday evening. And then I was too sleepy to write about it. That having been said, OMG what about Olivia being possessed by William Bell and his demon tea?
This week we find out that Olivia (Anna Torv) is just resting while William Bell runs around in her head complaining about her underwear. Anna Torv’s Nimoy impression is spot on. Freakishly so. And I think Peter (Joshua Jackson) found it as unsettling as I did to watch because he wouldn’t even look at her. Walter (John Noble) was beside himself though, and I can’t say I blame him. Who wouldn’t want their old best friend back…even if he did come with boobs this time around? Astrid (Jasika Nicole) seems less than thrilled with this new arrangement as well. Her reaction to William Bell’s innocent flirtation was priceless.
Bell explains that Olivia will be fine until he finds a suitable host body. And like magic a woman who can’t die but keeps trying to pops up on the Fringe team’s radar. This universes Lincoln Lee (Seth Gabel) has been following this case since the woman was murdered a few months back. When he crosses paths with Team Fringe he fits right in and joins them in helping stop the desperate woman from blowing up a train.
Little is done about finding Bell a new body but he did sit down with Peter and have a heart to heart about fate. Bell seems to think that the more Peter works to avoid stepping inside the Doomsday Machine the closer he gets to doing it. Before they can finish their talk though the church bells across the street ring and Olivia snaps back into her body, bewildered and disoriented. Bell forces he out again before Peter has time to register what has happened. Whoopsie. Things just got complicated didn’t they?
Next week we jump back to the Altverse for some fun with Fauxlivia and friends. Tune in to Fox on Friday at 9.
