Growing up in the late 80′s and 90′s, there is no way you could escape a crush on Patrick Dempsey. He cemented his position on my bedroom wall only moments after his character Ronald Miller emerged on Can’t Buy Me Love in 1987 and I bet if my mother hadn’t sold her house, that poster would still be there!
Patrick comes down to Florida quite often to participate in different car races with his Dempsey Racing team. Last year a huge wish came true when I had the chance to meet him during a meet and greet benefiting his charity, the Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing.
During a visit earlier this month, I had the pleasure to sit next to one of the (if not THE) nicest guy in Hollywood to ask him a few questions while he checked out the racing monitors. So you will have to excuse the loud roaring engines in the background though they might help you feel like you are right there in the seat next to us!
We talked a little about the musical episode, how he got into racing, and why he loves Florida so much! We love you too Patrick, come often.
