If you were left wanting more after his small (literally) role in Lord of the Rings, Bret McKenzie has officially joined Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit. The next big question is, will he come back in the role of Figwit? The answer is no, Bret will star in the role of Lindir, an Elf of Rivendell.
While Lindir does not play a huge role in the books, you can’t ever be too sure of what Jackson might have in mind for his film.
I feel so left out by never having read the J. R. R. Tolkien novel which the movie is being based on. Time to start thinking about some summer reading to catch up!
The Flight of the Conchords star joins already announced cast members Elijah Wood, Martin Freeman, Andy Serkis, Sir Ian McKellen and Cate Blanchett.
Are you excited to see Bret cast in The Hobbit?
