It should be no surprise to anyone that Glee is featuring their full-of-happiness-and-unicorns cover of Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” in an upcoming episode. The writers were so full of glee about this they couldn’t contain themselves and wrote a full 90 minutes of television about it!
The episode focuses on Mr. Schuester teaching the kids about embracing their individuality and celebrating what makes them unique. Not exactly ground-breaking territory for Glee, but not unexpected for a plot centered about Lady Gaga’s anthem of acceptance. I really hope they take it all the way and we get The Manifesto of Mother Sue and Rachel with weird facial implants. Maybe they will talk also about Sue’s unique ability to terrorize students and never get fired.
The supersized episode will air on April 26th. There is no word yet on the other songs featured on the episode.
