Even though the show was not honored this year, three girls from Pretty Little Liars attended the 22nd Annual GLAAD Media Awards held at The Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles, California on Sunday, April 10th, 2011. Looking glamorous and fabulous on the red carpet were Ashley Benson, Lucy Hale, and Shay Mitchell, current face (hair!) of Pantene.
The ABC Family show was pretty groundbreaking in bringing in a lesbian storyline into a high school setting when Shay’s character Emily stepped out of the closet and confessed to her family and friends that she’s gay. I bet PLL earns the honor next year! (This year the HBO hit True Blood was honored for Outstanding Drama Series)
Their co-star Troian Bellisario wasn’t there in person but I’m sure she was there with the girls in spirit!
