Over 3,000 fit and ruthless celebrities, athletes, corporate teams, paratriathletes and professional triathletes competed side-by-side on the shores of Miami Beach for the 4th annual Nautica South Beach Triathlon on Sunday, April 10th, 2011. Participating stars included the hunky Geoff Stults, NBC “The Biggest Loser’s” Ali Vincent, “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor Greg Ellis, “The Office” actor David Denman, and Carolina Panther’s running back (and first-time biker) DeAngelo Williams who helped raise over $255,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital!
St. Jude’s is one of the world’s premier centers for the research and treatment of pediatric cancer and other catastrophic childhood diseases. What a blessing for those children and dedicated parents who need this money so much!
For the first time ever, the 2011 Nautica South Beach Triathlon was the first leg of The Life Time Fitness Triathlon Series Race to the Toyota Cup, an internationally-renowned series for both professional and amateur athletes that is made up of seven of the most prominent international-distance triathlon events in the United States. The competitive series, currently led by Cameron Dye, concludes on October 2nd in Dallas, Texas.
Congrats to all the winners!
