Poor Hugh Laurie was trying to blend in with the locals but I think the paparazzi must have given his identity away! The British born actor was spotted enjoying the sights in Paris, France on Wednesday, April 20th, 2011 in a plaid shirt, faded black jeans, and a gray blazer.
It was announced last week that the House star has been cast in the new film Mister Pip, an adaptation of the Lloyd Jones novel. In it, Mr. Laurie will play the role of Mr. Watts, the last white man left on the war-torn island of Bougainville. Asked to open a school there, he reads the kids his favorite novel, Great Expectations. He bonds with the children over the book, which sheds some perspective on their own difficult lives, according to Deadline.com.
This will be quite a different role for Hugh who has been playing the role of cranky Gregory House since 2004. It will be quite nice to see him in a different light!
Filming begins in New Zealand next month.
