Paris Barclay joins “Sons of Anarchy” as Executive Producer

One show I had on my radar to watch for the last couple of years was Sons of Anarchy. So you can imagine I was elated when the series hit Netflix Instant Watch a few weeks ago. The buzz around this show has been steady and reached a boiling point after fans watched the season three finale in November and now I know why!

All those involved on Sons of Anarchy have done as the creators/writers of Dexter and Weeds before them, getting the audience to cheer for the bad guys! This group of motorcycle riding bullies wreak havoc all over Pleasant, sometimes it’s so bad I have to look away!! But the writing is just so brilliant and the relationships between the characters captivate you and put you on Team Bad Guy!

Deadline.com announced this morning that Paris Barclay (In Treatment and Glee) has just signed on to the FX drama as executive producer and principal director. Barclay has previously worked on Sons of Anarchy as a director for one episode during season one and later for an episode during the second season.

I can’t wait to see what he will bring to the table for season four! My guess, based on the finale, is that the show will pick up after the guys have been released from jail and the drama that will hang over Jax (Charlie Hunnam) is the fact that his dead father named his mother Gemma (Katey Sagal) and step-father Clay (Ron Perlman) as his killers.

I look forward to Tara (Maggie Siff) welcoming a baby in the upcoming season as well. Is it wrong that I’m praying its a girl?! And since the show is also known for “not being afraid to kill off a main character,” (RIP Half Sack) I expect a funeral for Chief Unser at some point and I have big worries for Piney.
