First Look: HawthoRNe Season 3

So HawthoRNe is coming back on June 14. And here you go with the juuust released, hot-off-the-press teaser poster.

Now, let’s make one thing clear. Read my bio on the side and you’ll get it. If you can’t be bothered, let’s say it right here: Michael Vartan may have gotten married in real life but he’s still my TV husband. And my imaginary husband/boyfriend/Prince Charming. And the biggest TV crush I have ever had. He’s perfection.

Now that that’s settled, I’m sure you will all understand how I feel about this poster. @#รน[!!*#!! (censored). Jada Pinkett Smith, please listen. You are one LUCKY woman. And I’d say that’s a big understatement. You have Will Smith at home for real, and you have HOT sex scenes with Vartan on screen. I really am not an envious type, but… overdoing it much, girl? Now, what is THIS mockery about a triangle with the delightfully charming Marc Anthony and the perfect man Michael Vartan? You’re kidding me, right? Oh wait, you are not? Of course not, since that is the teaser poster!

Looks like HawthoRNe is going the way that so many dramas love: A TRIANGLE. Something new and different, right? Except when Vartan is one of the sides, it’s always sexy as hell, charming, beautiful, and all that comes with it. Oh and did I mention the added French romance? Yes, because Monsieur Vartan is French of course, and when he spoke French to Pinkett Smith’s character Christina during an episode of HawthoRNe, I just about melted like an ice cube sunbathing! Clearly Christina didn’t understand any of what Vartan was saying, but I did, and that’s all that matters, because he was talking to me. Oui, je veux te marier. Oui je veux sortir avec toi. Oui, no matter what. Ahem.

So newcomer Marc Anthony (well newcomer at the end of Season 2 of the show) is back on board as a regular, AND fighting Vartan for the love and charms of Christina Hawthorne, the protagonist of this so pleasant and well-written series. Without giving away anything for those who are not caught up, I will just say that the story between Christina and Tom (Vartan’s character on the show) is one that took off slowly and had multiple curves thrown in. The supporting cast has quite a few really enjoyable characters, particularly when it comes to strong women fighting for their everyday happiness, and the whole product is a really well-written one, and not the usual medical show, it’s all about the struggle of nurses vs doctors and people vs their job being in the way of their happiness rather than helping them be happy. In short: watch it, you won’t be disappointed.

And to conclude and get back to the poster topic: what is that “for worse” on Vartan’s side? Shame on you, promo monkeys for TNT. Vartan’s side should just read “for perfect”. Because of course, even if Jesus was on the other side… Vartan would still win! And that is all, I think. Until the next Michael Vartan image. And if you want a weekly fix, tune in to watch the new episodes of HawthoRNe on TNT starting June 14 at 10/9c!

  1. I tried to watch this show but it was so fake!! I have been a nurse for 37 years and I have never seen anything like that in the real world. I guess the people who watch it aren’t in the medical field.
