Kim Kardashian is white hot in Los Angeles

Looking slightly tan after her quick trip to Miami, Kim Kardashian was spotted departing from Nate ‘n Al restaurant in Los Angeles, California on Wednesday, May 18, 2011. She looked stunning and ready for spring in a short white dress, nude Christian Louboutin heels and a red clutch to match the trademark bottoms of her shoes.

Kim and her boyfriend Kris Humphries have the media with their tongues wagging after the former was reportedly caught looking at rings recently. There are also baby rumors floating around which she firmly denied during her recent trip to South Florida in support of her new perfume, Kim Kardashian Gold.

REVIEW: Glee “Funeral”

Glee certainly didn’t hold back the melodrama and sentiment in this week’s “Funeral” episode. My sister and I were on the verge of weeping by the time the hour ended. And while I enjoy when Glee gets serious once in a while and turns on the waterworks it felt a bit heavy-handed and just a touch emotionally manipulative for this point in the season.

REVIEW: The Killing “Stonewalled”

The net was cast considerably wider in the search for Rosie Larsen’s killer on The Killing this week. Work commitments delayed this review a bit but this episode was well worth the wait. The pace picked up a bit and we learned a lot about the people at the center of this case. Some of what we learned was surprising and some of it wasn’t. We also saw some relationships start to break down, which always makes for good television.

On the Scene: Steve Carell and Keira Knightley

Now that he is done working as the boss man on The Office, Steve Carell has wasted no time in getting back to work on his next project. The comedian teamed up with British actress Keira Knightley to shoot scenes of their new film “Seeking A Friend For the End of the World” in Los Angeles, California on Wednesday, May 18th, 2011.

Now I don’t normally watch “end of the world” type of movies but this romantic dramedy might have enough of all the other qualities I look for in a fun film.

Carell stars as Dodge, a man whose wife leaves him when panic sets in after an asteroid begins to make its way towards Earth. In a surprising turn of events, he hears from his high school sweetheart who wants to meet the end of days by his side. But when his neighbor Penny (Knightley) decides to join him on his journey, love blossoms at the worst possible time.

Sitting in the directors chair is screenwriter Lorene Scafaria in her directorial debut. Focus Features has already signed a distribution deal to bring Seeking A Friend For the End of the World to theaters in 2012.

UPFRONTS UPDATE: RPM Miami renewed for second season

As we move forward to the fourth episode of the bilingual drama RPM Miami, you start to realize why the formula is such a hit. It’s the combination of hot young Hollywood talent, writing that is a mixture of drama and comedy, the bad guy with terrible sideburns, and the sexy city of Miami as a backdrop, that is winning over fans every Sunday night.

During upfronts in New York City yesterday, it was announced that Telemundo’s mun2 network has renewed RMP Miami for a second season!! They are also adding a brand new reality music competition “El Más Ching*n” to their line-up.

Here is some info straight from press release I received today:

The May 1, 2011 premiere of “RPM Miami” scored mun2’s highest-rated original debut among YLAs aged 18-34 in prime time. The series ranked among the top programs across all Hispanic and English cable networks, making it the 7th most watched program, regardless of language, among persons 18-34 at 10pm on Sunday night. “RPM Miami” introduced viewers to lead cast Alejandro (Salvadoran actor Adrian Bellani), Luisa (Mexican actress Fernanda Romero) and Ramon (Latin recording artist Frankie J).

““We are excited to announce the second season of our highly successful bilingual scripted series ‘RPM,’ as well as the new, unprecedented production ‘El Mas Ching*n,’ both of which are in-line with our network’s commitment to producing groundbreaking, authentic and un-matched programming for the coveted demographic of today’s YLAs,” said Diana Mogollon, general manager, mun2. “These original shows celebrate the uniquely American experience that truly represents today’s New America.”

“El Más Ching*n,” a competition reality series, is set to discover the next big Regional Mexican artist. It’s a talent search with a twist. Selecting contestants through an interactive online campaign, the road to regional stardom is filled with lifestyle challenges that include writing and performing, as well as horseback riding, media pressure tests and other identifiers of regional respect.

Judged by celebrity personalities, the contestants will also be documented through behind-the-scenes rehearsals, back-story segments and confessionals, and tensions between the contestants, competing for one prize. Quién es el más chign*n?

Look for Less: Jessica Szohr stuns in gray and leopard!

Jessica Szohr opted for a comfy yet stylish look for the premiere of her latest film, “Love, Wedding, Marriage” held at Pacific Design Center on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 in West Hollywood, California. The Gossip Girl alum looked beautiful in a fitted gray, racer back, jersey dress with a pair of leopard print ankle boots that amped up the sexiness.

She finished the look with a high ponytail and the prettiest shade of pink lipstick that I’ve seen this season!

This relaxed look could be worn for a casual night out for dinner, drinks with the girls, or even to a movie premiere! I had a look around to see how much it would cost to throw a look like this together and I found a similar option for a really great price.

We had to search high and low for an affordable bootie but we managed to find this adorable from Charlotte Russe for $42.50. It’s more of a ankle boot/high heel sandal hybrid but it works great with this James Perse Cotton-jersey tank dress for $62.00 which looks almost exactly like Jessica’s!

Sadly, I could not find an affordable option for her hottest accessory of the evening, co-star Kellan Lutz!

Tom Cruise jets from Miami

You can tell that a longtime actor like Tom Cruise knows EXACTLY how to evade being photographed when he doesn’t want to be seen. Tom managed to be in Miami, Florida for at least a week for rehearsals of his new movie Rock of Ages without being snapped once!

He even attended a read through in full costume and managed to avoid the flash bulbs!

Though today became a very different day as he was (slightly!) captured while departing from the Opa Locka Airport via his private jet with daughter Suri and wife Katie Holmes. (May 17th, 2011)

No one knows exactly where the couple is heading to since filming is set to begin quite soon, so we can only assume that they will be back.

Good thing little Suri tried to hide from photographers in that half a second shown in the pictures or we wouldn’t have seen Tom’s face!
