Michelle Rodriguez makes a splash in Cannes

You have to appreciate the beauty of a city when you are somewhere like Cannes. Yes it might be all about getting dressed up to hit red carpet events and enjoy some amazing films, but sometimes you just need to blow off some steam with your girls!

Michelle Rodriguez was spotted diving into the amazing waters at the Eden Roc hotel while in town for the 64th Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France on Sunday, May 15th, 2011. She showed off her fit body in a black bikini that she accented with pieces of gold jewelry.

The Battle: Los Angeles and Avatar star showed off her acrobatic skills while hanging upside down on a trapeze!

Beautiful and ballsy, you go girl!

Kim Kardashian drives fans wild in Miami!

Neither these pictures nor video can begin to explain the utter madness that I experienced today! There is no doubt that whatever Kim Kardashian touches turns to gold. (I wonder if that was the inspiration for her new scent?)

The stunning reality star and entrepreneur attended a special meets and greets with fans at the launch of her perfume Kim Kardashian Gold at Macys on Saturday, May 14th, 2011 in Aventura, Florida. She wore a colorful Rachel Roy dress and a pair of sky high black Christian Louboutin shoes, keeping things stylish and fun for her Miami admirers.

Also making a cameo was Kim’s boyfriend Kris Humphries who is absolutely hotter in person! Who knew that was possible?

We had the chance to sit in for an interview with the beautiful brunette and she talked about her new fragrance, what she loves about Miami’s style, and her plans to move her boutique (which she co-owns with sisters Khloe and Kourtney) DASH to a bigger location.

Mobs of people followed Kim outside the mall as she jumped into an SUV waiting for her entourage. Her next stop was at Macalusa’s on South Beach for lunch where we hear the thirty-year-old enjoyed a meatball subs and sampled some desserts.

Kim ended the afternoon with a quick visit to DASH where she singlehandedly drove even more fans wild! It’s probably smart that she doesn’t live here full time, I don’t know what the people of Miami would do.

Favorite Thing Friday: Motives Pressed Bronzer

As a tan skinned Latina, I have lived my life with a few misconceptions. The biggest one would have to be that darker skinned people do not need to wear sunblock. I was never the type of person to sit out and bake in the sunlight so I figured I was safe from harmful rays.

I learned a few years ago that NO ONE is safe from the sun.

On a less serious note, I have always been a fan of blush and I really enjoyed using different brushes and applying using varied angles of my face to create different looks. For along time, I didn’t realize that bronzer works much in the same way. But back then, I assumed it was for fair skin girls seeking a more sunkissed look.

Guess who was wrong again?

Jencarlos Canela premieres “Mi Corazon Insiste” in Miami

You really can’t begin to appreciate that beauty and charm of Jencarlos Canela until you’ve been inches away from him. I had the pleasure to do just that during the Telemundo VIP Premiere Of Mi Corazon Insiste held at W South Beach on Thursday, May 12th, 2011 in Miami Beach, Florida.

The Telemundo team set up a special screening area in one of the hotels banquet rooms with intimate seating for invited guests to preview scenes of the sexy new soap opera. I want you guys to know, this is NOT your abuelas novela! The storylines are steamy and provocative while still finding ways to be funny and heartfelt.

As soon as the teaser video was over, we were greeted on stage by Aurelio Valcárcel the Executive Vice President of Telemundo Studios Miami who introduced the writers and directors who all had a hand in bringing Mi Corazon Insiste to fruition.

The entire cast was introduced by Telemundo President Don Browne and they included legendary actress Angélica María, Colombian hunk Mauricio Hénao, Ana Layevska, Cynthia Olavarria, Paloma Marquez, Roberto Huicochea, , Gerardo Murguia and the luckiest girl in the world, Carmen Villalobos who plays Jencarlos’s love interest Lola Volcán. Wait until you see the love scenes!

But what came next was the best part of the night (apart from hugging Jencarlos of course!). Canela took to the stage and performed the novelas theme song, “Mi Corazon Insiste” and “Tu Cuerpo” which brought out a bevy of beautiful dancers to back him up.

The previews were amazing and I can’t wait for you guys to see the final product when “Mi Corazon Insiste” hits television on Monday, May 23rd, 2011 on Telemundo.

Are Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries buying a home in Miami?

Kim Kardashian and her equally gorgeous boyfriend Kris Humphries might have only just arrived in Miami, Florida last night, but it seems like they are wasting no time meeting with one of our top real estate agents Katrina Campins! Also along for lunch on Lincoln Road was Kardashian family friend Jonathan Cheban.

Could he be helping the couple decide on a South Florida love nest? It makes total sense since Kim and her sisters own a branch of their LA boutique DASH located on Washington Avenue. Plus the curvaceous reality star has never made it a secret how much she loves being in Miami.

Or I could be completely wrong and the couple could have just been having lunch with a longtime friend. But I much rather think that they are checking out their options!

While taking a break from water sports with boyfriend Eduardo Cruz, Eva Longoria was spotted trying on outfits during a shopping trip to South Beach on Thursday, May 12th, 2011. The Desperate Housewives star stopped at stores including Intermix and Zara with one of her best friends, Loren Ridinger.

You can see the duo caused quite a stir amongst fans who gathered outside the store to catch a glimpse! Bodyguards had to assist the ladies get back into their car after all the commotion!

Jemaine Clement and Will Smith battle it out in NYC

Flight of the Conchords star Jemaine Clement looks like a total bad azz as he jumped out of a window in New York City, New York on Thursday, May 12th, 2011. The New Zealand stud wasn’t feeling suicidal, he was shooting scenes of the upcoming Men In Black III film alongside his co-star Will Smith.

Jemaine was rockin’ a fringed, nude colored jacket, leather pants, and a black bandana and in previous photos he was spotted on a Harley Davidson motorcycle. He stars as the villain named either Boris or Yaz, (I’ve read conflicting reports) and has been described simply as a “charming and creepy at the same time.”

That is not really much to go on but the pictures are great!

Co-star Josh Brolin was also spotted on set dressed as a younger version of Agent K (played by Tommy Lee Jones’s in current time.)
