Ever since watching Colin Firth in Pride and Prejudice in 1995 I knew he was something special. As a long time fan of the British actor, I was very excited to hear that Queen Elizabeth II has honored Mr. Firth with a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) for his services to acting.
This puts him well on his way to receiving a knighthood one day!
It is said that the monarch was extremely touched by Colin’s portrayal of her father King George VI in the film The King’s Speech which also earned him multiple awards including an Academy Award and a BAFTA.
Congratulations to Colin for the much deserved accolade!

Colin Firth is an extraordinary man who has the ability to appeal to everyone. There’s something about this man that transcends all the shallowness that pervades stardom as well as the shallowness that pervades fandom. I adore him. He’s the quintessential babe with talent, heart, intelligence, sensitivity and humanity.
Mimi,
I agree with every word you just said. Love everything about him!
