The Dead are Walking in Atlanta

With temps in Atlanta hovering in the upper 90s every day the cast of AMC’s The Walking Dead has been sweating through filming of the upcoming second season. Producer/Director Frank Darabont kicked things off by closing a major freeway outside of town to stage his zombie apocalypse. Check out this video from the first day of shooting and see how the actors stayed cool between takes.

I really feel for those guys. The temps are bad enough but with all that asphalt around the thermostat had to be above 100! I know I break a sweat just walking to my car in this heat. I can’t imagine wearing zombie makeup too. And they certainly found unique places to get in the shade in the middle of the freeway. The Walking Dead staggers back onto your television screen this fall.

Jude Law keeps it casual in London

Hey Jude! It’s been a hot minute since the last time we’ve seen (one of) our favorite British bad boys Jude Law and I don’t know about you all but I’m thinking he’s looking all kinds of hot!

Law was photographed as he departed from his London home and made way into his classic silver Mercedes Benz 380 SL on Tuesday, June 21st, 2011. He might have been making a quick stopover at the gym, since he packed a big duffel bag in the trunk.

Coming this fall, Jude is making his way back to the big screen in the Steven Soderbergh directed film, Contagion. The action-thriller is centered on the threat posed by a deadly disease and an international team of doctors (played by Laurence Fishburne, Marion Cotillard and Kate Winslet) contracted by the CDC to deal with the outbreak.

The thirty eight year old will play the role of Alan Krumwiede, a blogger who enjoys stirring up trouble.

Contagion also stars Matt Damon, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Bryan Cranston.

John Travolta and Kelly Preston step out with baby Ben

Proud parents John Travolta and Kelly Preston stepped out for dinner at Dave’s Restaurant in Paris, France on Monday, June 20th, 2011. Kelly cradled nearly seven month old son Benjamin as she departed from their vehicle as photographers captured images of the adorable blond baby!

The family is vacationing in the French capital along with daughter Ella to celebrate Father’s Day. While visiting the famous Eiffel Tower earlier in the day, the Travolta’s obliged fans and posed for photographs.

John, Kelly, and Ella are all enjoying some time off before beginning work on Gotti: In The Shadow Of My Father sometime in the future.

‘Jackass’ production assistant identified as Ryan Dunn’s passenger

The Jackass family is suffering yet another blow as production assistant Zachary Hartwell has been named as Ryan Dunn’s passenger during yesterday’s accident which claimed both lives. Let’s keep things clear, so far no one has confirmed that alcohol was at fault for the fatal accident in Pennsylvania accident but the photo above of both men (Ryan at left and Zachary on far right) drinking was Tweeted hours before the accident happened.

Ryan’s Porsche seems to have been speeding before slamming into a tree at 2:38 am on Monday. The car burst into flames, killing both passengers.

An autopsy was performed on Dunn on Monday which will help determine if alcohol was a factor in the accident.

Our condolences go out to both families.

Versace coming to H&M this fall!

Even though she said it would never happen, Donatella Versace is announcing her collaboration with H&M for a line set to hit stores this fall. Not since word that Missoni would be featured during an upcoming campaign with Target, have I been this excited!!

WWD is reporting that Donatella will contribute 20 pieces for men, 40 for women, and even home items (a first for a guest designer at the lower cost shop).

Here are some deets via The Telegraph:
The womenswear collection will be dominated by dresses featuring studded leather, silk and colorful print, with accessories including high heels and costume jewellery. The men’s collection will focus on sharp tailoring, including ‘the perfect tuxedo’, as well as belts and jewellery.

Donatella rocked one of the dresses from the upcoming line during Milan Fashion Week Menswear Spring/Summer 2012 on Monday, June 20th, 2011 in Milan, Italy. Don’t you love it?!

“I am thrilled to be collaborating with H&M and to have the opportunity of reaching their wide audience. The collection will be quintessential Versace, perfect for H&M and Versace fans everywhere,” Donatella said in a statement.”

Lines will be crazy long so be prepared to camp out or be left behind on November 17th at the 300 selected stores. It is times like these that I wish H&M had online shopping available in the U.S.

Sam Trammell smiles at the Critics’ Choice Awards

Representing the True Blood Team, Sam Trammell suited up for the Critics’ Choice Television Awards held at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Monday, June 20th, 2011 in Beverly Hills, California. He looked handsome in a black suit and white long sleeved shirt with thin stripes.

Sam served as a presenter during this evenings production which is set to air on the REELZCHANNEL this Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET and repeating at 11 p.m. and 2 a.m. ET.

I’m so excited for the all new season of the HBO supernatural drama to premiere in only six days! (Yes I am absolutely counting!) I’m extremely anxious to find out what happens between Sam’s character Sam Merlotte and newcomer Luna, played by Janina Gavankar.

Ever since his failed love affair with Daphne during season two, I have been wanting the (mostly) sweet bar owner to find someone he can relate to. Could Luna be “the one?”

REVIEW: The Killing “Orpheus Descending”

The Killing wrapped up season one on Sunday night with “Orpheus Descending”, a surprisingly effective hour of television that despite its well-placed twist still managed to piss me off and leave me feeling used like a cheap Beau Soleil call girl.
