Since her split with husband Tao Ruspoll back in March, Olivia Wilde has been spotted around town with several of Hollywood’s finest including Bradley Cooper, Ryan Gosling and Justin Timberlake. But in the August issue of Nylon, the Cowboys & Aliens star admits something very surprising: “Dating is new to me.”
Wilde continued to say that since her divorce, she has packed on a little weight. “I got a divorce and self-medicated with food.” (Has anyone even noticed?!)
Despite her gorgeous features and spunky personality, the actress finds it especially hard to flirt via technology. “I see the whole thing like someone who’s been in a coma and I’ve come out like, ‘Wait, people text message? They text love? How do you text about love?’” she asks. “Three Xs and a smiley face? Emoticon? Deal breaker!”
This doesn’t come as a surprise to me since the 27-year-old actress got hitched at age 19 in a school bus. That’s pretty young and she’s been out of the dating game since 2003.
Through all of this, her and Ruspoll remain on good terms with each other, she recently told Marie Claire. “We’re friends; his family is my family. You always have a choice to feel angry and not be friends.”
Have no fear, Olivia! Mr. Right is sure to come along soon.
