Even though the weather in San Diego was a bit chilly, I decided to step out in this comfy dress I picked up at the South Beach TJ Maxx for a movie event. This store is classified as a Runway location meaning they carry big name designers like YSL, Fendi, and Dolce and Gabbana. *LOVE*
I don’t live very close to South Beach but you can bet I will make it a point to hit up this store as much as I can! It definitely had more options than my local store and the trends it carried was more the style I was seeking.
This dress has a great mix of patterns in different sizes that helped me feel on trend but not
overdone. Since I’m a bit wide (big boobs/big hips), I opted for a dress that had a break right below the bust line. It helped nip my waist and keep me from looking bigger than I am.
To give me a little more height, I paired this dress with some fun brown wedges that I found in my closet when trying to sort out outfits! Sadly I don’t remember where I bought these, which is sad because they are very cute and quite comfy.
The bag I mentioned in my first post here, click for more info.
Items vary from store to store, so I wanted to share some tips for finding a dress at your local Marshalls/TJ Maxx that is similarly styled in case you like it!
Since a dress can be your ‘best friend’ as the temperatures continue to rise, you will want to incorporate at least one into your wardrobe. Those of you in South Florida or other equally hot locations you will NEED to snag a few of these!
* The little white dress with laser cut or lace accents paired with either bright or black accessories.
* A solid colored maxi dress cinched at the waist with a color blocked belt in bright colors like teal and purple.
* Dresses that drape with simple sequin detail can be layered with an embellished cardigan for a feminine touch. Polish the look with a pair of heels with rosette detail.
*A crochet dress in a saturated spice color can be accessorized with tribal printed bangles and a leather and crochet clutch.
Staying with the dress trend, I wore a simple black ensemble from Furor Moda for a night party at Camp Playboy! I had a big meal before heading out for the night so I needed something that was going to leave me space for bloat.
This simple black dress with a drape in the bust area was a life saver. I felt comfortable and put together put I wanted to add a little sexiness via accessories. So I paired it with some strappy black heels I got from Victoria’s Secret which happened to be from Jessica Simpson’s line.
I swear she is one of the only celebrities who puts out great clothing/accessories!
To further sexify the ensemble, I opted for a faux snake print clutch to add a little color. That bag was purchased from Marshalls a few months ago for like $12! Plus I have to give a shout out to Essie nail polish in color Vermillionaire for a pop of color on my toes.
This ended up being my lucky dress since I ended up meeting my dream man Alexander Skarsgard in it later that night! Also in the photo is Michael McMillian who played the Reverend Steve Newlin in season two.
The pretty neckline looks a little odd in this photo since I’m trying to reach around these two hotties. **flailing at the thought!**

Ryan Kwanten was also around but he got swarmed by Camp Playboy bunnies so I had no chance! Did you guys like my outfits?
