With the release of the final installment of Harry Potter, are the stars struggling to move on?

Looking ever so stylish, Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint stepped out for the premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 held at Avery Fisher Hall, Lincoln Center on Monday, July 11th, 2011 in New York City.

Emma was an absolutely stunning sight in a gold Bottega Veneta gown while co-stars Rupert and Daniel looked handsome in black suits.

After growing up before the eyes of the world as part of the hugely popular Harry Potter franchise, you can imagine how difficult it must be for the trio to move on. At their final press conference in London, Watson described how playing Hermione helped her become a better person in real life.

“I will actually just miss being her, getting to come into work every day and be this girl that lives in this magical amazing world and get to go on all the adventures that she goes on. That part’s quite devastating.”

Grint, now 22, said he still hasn’t really let go of Ron.

“After we finished (filming) a year ago now I have felt a little bit lost without it, really, and not really knowing what to do with myself.”

While Radcliffe did not attend the London press conference due to his appearance in a play on Broadway, he did touch on the strong bond the three hold in a pre-recorded video.

“I do think the bond between me and Rupert and Emma is pretty unbreakable, because I don’t think anyone knows what it’s like to go through this craziness. I will miss them both very, very much but hopefully we will find other projects to work together on.”

I will admit it is pretty sad that this franchise is ending. I was the same age as these characters when the first film came out, and being a part of this worldwide phenomenon over the years makes me feel like I’ve almost grown up with Harry, Ron and Hermione. It will be very interesting to see where this trio is in 10 years.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2
hits theaters July 15th.

Will Season 8 Be the last for Desperate Housewives?

Are the lights going out on Wisteria Lane at the end of next season, the show’s eighth on the air? Whispers in the bushes indicate that it might be if the ratings don’t improve and insiders say there could be a decision on the fate of the show soon.

Desperate Housewives is still a force of nature on Sunday nights but the show has lost half of its audience since season one, due in no small part of the ridiculous antics of season seven. Housewives has some stiff competition this fall with The Good Wife and Sunday Night Football so they will need to bring out the big guns to capture a decent audience this far into the game. Utilizing the treasure that is Vanessa Williams would be a good start plus Tom and Lynette’s separation should be fodder for some good story lines next year. And with Dallas roaring back into our living rooms next year maybe Housewives will find a new audience yearning for melodrama and scandal. I always did see Housewives sort of as the Knots Landing of this generation.

I’ve been a big fan of Housewives since day one despite but I won’t cry into my chrysanthemums if Marc Cherry and Bob Daily decide to send Bree, Susan, Lynette, Gabby and Renee packing in 2012. They’ve had a good run. The producers are noncommittal on the issue at the moment saying simply that they will “wait and see how it goes” and that ratings will be a big factor. But if ABC can’t come up with something worthy of that coveted Sunday night spot then low ratings or not I think the ladies of Wisteria Lane will be back in 2013.

SNEAK PEEK: TNT’s DALLAS!

Rejoice Dallas fans! TNT aired a 1 minute sneak peek at their flashy reboot of Dallas that airs in July 2012. A whole year! Why must they torture us so? Hit the cut to check out the preview and bask in its oil-soaked, melodramatic beauty.

Bobby Ewing: I am sick and tired of this family devouring itself over money!

You tell em Bobby! This looks very promising indeed. And what on earth are we going to do with ourselves between now and next July? TNT you tease. Let’s just hope that this isn’t another one of Pam’s dreams. Oh wait, she blew up at the end of season 9 didn’t she? But what if she had a long lost twin!!!! Sorry, I got carried away there.

Matt Lanter and Shenae Grimes get back to work on 90210

Talk about a beautiful morning! Matt Lanter and Shenae Grimes went back to work on an all new season of the CW hit 90210 in Beverly Hills, California on Tuesday, July 11th, 2011. Joining them was the equally gorgeous Tristan Wilds for the fun Rodeo Drive Shoot.

The trio looked relaxed in between scenes and even walked around to greet fans that had gathered around the perimeter. The hot boys of West Beverly seemed to have received the most attention, with ladies snapping photos with their mobile phones all around them!

I’m sad that Trevor Donovan won’t be back full time during season four but I am excited to see a whole lot more of Mr. Lanter!

Julianne Hough and Diego Boneta take a Miami break

All work and no play makes Julianne Hough and Diego Boneta dull boys and girls…so that must be why the duo took some time this weekend for some fun in the sun! The Rock of Ages co-stars jumped into the pool with Julianne’s mom Mari Anne on Monday, July 10, 2011 in Miami Beach, Florida.

Julianne, who has been dating Ryan Seacrest since last spring, looked fresh faced and naturally beautiful without any make up. It’s a tough task but this former Dancing with the Stars professional has pulled it off effortlessly!

Poor Diego is not adapting to this horrible heat, he took to Twitter this afternoon to vent his frustrations.

SO HOT OUT!!!!!

Welcome to Miami!

Nicolas Cage keeps family close as they land in London

With all the drama that has been plaguing Nicolas Cage and his family, it’s nice to see he and his wife Alice in a united front. The couple, who have been married since 2004, made their arrival into Heathrow airport with their five and half year old son Kal-El on Monday, July 11th, 2011 in London, England.

Trouble reared its ugly head in April of this year when Cage was arrested on suspicion of domestic abuse against Alice in New Orleans famed French Quarter. It seems like either the situation was blown out of proportion (Nic reportedly grabbed his wife’s upper arm while intoxicated) or the couple have decided to work through their problems.

The forty seven year old actor is set to make a special appearance at San Diego Comic Con next week in support of his new film, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. The panel will take place at Hall H on Friday, July 22nd at 4pm.

Joining Mr. Cage for the panel are directors Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor and co-stars Idris Elba and Johnny Whitworth.

Leonardo DiCaprio dines with Gerard Butler in Italy

After spending a fun filled day riding around in a scooter with a friend, Leonardo DiCaprio sat for a meal with his mother Irmelin in Capri, Italy on Saturday, July 9th, 2011. Joining them at the large table were a variety of close friends that included hunky Scotsman Gerard Butler!

Leo tried to be incognito when he realized paparazzi had spotted him zipping around in the scooter, which could have caused accident as he attempted to cover his face. He did manage to avoid being spotted hopping into a helicopter

Earlier in the day Leo took a ride on a scooter with a pal and tried to avoid being photographed by ducking his head around while driving. He later joined his mother for a helicopter ride before making their arrival at dinner.

Gerry has also been spotted having a good ol’ time while in Europe. He was spotted with a long list of fellow celebrities including Christoph Waltz, Sting, and Eli Roth at the Ischia Global Film and Music Festival in Ischia.
