While Ian Somerhalder kept things casual, girlfriend Nina Dobrev got all dolled up for the 2011 Teen Choice Awards held at the Gibson Amphitheatre on Sunday, August 7th, 2011 in Universal City, California. The pretty pair hit the blue carpet separately and looked excited to win some of the awards they have been nominated for.
As an ensemble with their co-stars from The Vampire Diaries, they are up for the “Choice TV Show: Fantasy/Sci-Fi” award. Ian will face his handsome co-star Paul Wesley in the “Choice TV Actor: Fantasy/Sci-Fi” category while Nina battles it out for a “Choice TV Actress: Fantasy/Sci-Fi” award against Erica Durance, Anna Paquin, Crystal Reed, and Anna Torv.
Katerina Graham is up for the “Choice TV: Female Scene Stealer” award and Michael Trevino is competing for the “Choice TV: Male Scene Stealer” award.

Ian and Nina looked fantastic. While they did not walk the red carpet together, they were never far apart. Ian was sitting in the seat right behind her and it was cute the way Nina waited on Ian to escort her on stage. Also, their outfits were color coordinated. I love these two and know they are a solid couple. I am very happy the TVD cast took home 5 awards.
