One of my favorite things to drag back to the states after a visit across the pond, is the latest issue of Empire Magazine. The glossy features fantastic articles and even the craftsmanship is like no other I’ve ever seen.
Gracing their October 2011 issue is none other than Robert Downey Jr posing as Sherlock Holmes in promotion of the highly anticipated Guy Ritchie sequel. RDJ spoke to the mag about Sherlock Holmes 2: A Game of Shadows and how they’ve upped the ante from the first film.
Says Downey, “Last time we were, I think, treated very kindly, considering that the movie had enough really good, bright, sweet parts and it kinda held up. However, it wasn’t exactly the most innovative or clever act three of any movie. But we’re all confident that, this time, for the bones of the story, we couldn’t work it out any better than we have.”
Personally I enjoyed the first part but then again I might be a bit biased. I just don’t see how a movie with both Downey and the hunky Jude Law could go wrong?!
Sherlock Holmes 2: A Game of Shadows hits theaters on December 16th, 2011.
